The AlfaSPID rotator over-travel now works correctly. From the AlfaSPID manual "From the reset position you can rotate counter-clockwise an additional 180 degrees in over-travel, as well 360 degrees clockwise, plus an additional 180 degrees into clockwise over-travel".
So as a satellite goes overhead the rotator can now track correctly without spinning almost a full circle!

Some scientific satellites (especially XMM) from http://www.celestrak.com/NORAD/elements/science.txt cause the software to crash. Thanks to Roy van Versendaal PD5RMV for finding this problem.

Tested with the Yaesu FT-847 and it works just fine! Disadvantage of the FT-847 is the limited CAT support but for satellite use it's a terrific radio. Note to Yaesu - please make a new satellite radio!
I'll fix an outstanding bug in the legacy satellite tracking support for the FT-847 after lunch.
