Introduction

The Command tester is a utility built into Ham Radio Deluxe, it is used to diagnose and test commands with new radios.

  1. Start Ham Radio Deluxe, do not connect to a radio.
  2. From the Tools menu select Command Tester.

IC-7600 Antenna Selection

In the Command Tester window select:

  • ICOM CI-V,
  • The serial (COM) port connected to the IC-7600 (the IC-7600 uses a virtaul serial port created when you install the driver software supplied with the IC-7600).
  • The baud rate - usually 19,200 (check the radio menu settings).
  • CTS / DTR / RTS are normally not selected when using the USB connection to the IC-7600.

Then press Connect.

The antenna selection commands are found on page 152 of the IC-7600 Instruction Manual (as of August 4th, 2009), see below.

Read ANT1 (RX ANT OFF)

To read ANT1 (RX ANT OFF) enter values as shown below. Note - there is no sub command so the first byte of data actually starts in the Sub cmd field.

Press Send to send the command and read the reply.

Saving Results

To save the results in a text file press Save and select a path for the file. Forward results to simon@hb9drv.ch.
