A: Check our list of Radios.
Radios that work with HRD
Q. What is a support subscription?
A .Ham Radio Deluxe 6.0 retails for $99.95 for one year of support and upgrades. Those who have purchased 6.0 will get 6.1 and any other upgrades during that year at no additional cost. The optional support renewal after the initial year of support is ½ of retail, which is currently $49.95. Like 6.0, 6.1 will not stop working after the year of support if you decide not to renew
Q: I have a copy of 6.0 installed and I
am missing some settings.
A: Install 6.0. Start HamRadioDeluxe.exe. If you are
not prompted to migrate the settings from version 6.0, then run HamRadioDeluxe from the command line like this:
HamRadioDeluxe.exe /migrate
Make sure you are in the HRD folder. You may also add the migrate flag to the desktop shortcut. Remember to remove it from the shortcut after migrating your settings.
Q: I get the "Blue Screen of Death" when
I try to connect to my radio.
A: This is most often caused by poorly written Prolific USB Serial
cable drivers. Try another USB cable manufacturer.
Q: I donated to Simon, does that get me
a discount now?
A: No.
Q: Does HRD work on my Mac?
A: If you run it in a virtual machine (VMWare) or with Parallels,
yes.
Q: Does HRD work with Linux?
A: No. Portions do run with "wine". See
http://linux.softpedia.com/get/System/Emulators/Wine-148.shtml
