General News from the HRD Newswire

With the 638 release out, I thought I'd take a moment to let everyone know what our development priorities are between now and Dayton.

With the 638 release, we believe we have resolved the "cluster blanking" problem.  Our beta testers report that they have not had recurrences of this problem.

Then our attention turns to general MFC errors, WSI miscalculation, MFC error on eQSL import, Remote Server problems, and replacing our existing license server.  All of these things have been causing some problems for our customers and these are topics that are at the top of our list.  Development will focus on these items to the exclusion of all others between now and Dayton.

Tech Support will continue the approach of helping customers with routine configuration assistance.  When customers contact tech support regarding the above topics, I have instructed tech support to record the trouble ticket, relate that ticket to these open bugs, and close the ticket with a message to the customer indicating that the item has been passed to development for fixing and that release notes and public announcments will reflect the status of these items.

UPDATE: 640 beta release is looking better.  Minor things to tend to before week's end.  Expecting we may release before end of March.
